Atsushi Momoi
Atsushi Momoi is based in Tokyo, Japan. He studied sociology at Kwansei Gakuin University before moving to London, where he studied photography at the London College of Printing (now the London College of Communication). His photographic practice explores the relationship between the inner and outer selves—seeking to visualize the shifting connection between his subjective experience, shaped by layers of memory, and the external world as it is perceived. By examining how material reality intertwines with personal memory, Momoi reveals the multiple layers of the world that emerge through this process, and in doing so, pursues new values that invite viewers to reconsider their own ways of seeing.
