Dmitriy Gushchin
Dmitriy Gushchin is a Boston-based fine art photographer and digital artist whose work explores identity, transformation, memory, and psychological space through staged portraiture and digital compositing. Drawing from mythology, Tarot archetypes, theater, and contemporary queer experience, he creates symbolic environments where the body becomes a site of vulnerability, resilience, and reinvention. Born in the Soviet Union, Gushchin studied physics at Perm University before transitioning into visual art and healing practices. His multidisciplinary background informs a practice that combines structural precision with ritualistic and emotional symbolism. His work has been exhibited internationally, including museum exhibitions at the Alexandria Museum of Art, Monmouth Museum, and Cape Cod Museum of Art. He lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts.
