Growing up in Greece shaped my perspective, not in the way one might assume, but through a culture where every story carried a lesson. Whether it was the hare & the tortoise or the countless anecdotes my teachers shared, their purpose was always the same... to teach honesty, fairness, perseverance & the importance of staying true to yourself. That spirit lives in my high school project, "I Hate The Way You Think". It blends technical craft with metaphor to express what frustrates me about society, while leaving the final meaning to the viewer. A mirror never changes its shape or form, yet every person standing before it sees a different reflection. THAT is what I want my work to be. I make socially critical work, whether it is self critic like "near never hug" or exposing injustice, or simply revealing beauty in ones life. That was the reason i even got into photography in the first place. so i too must stay true to msyelf.
