Born on 12th November, 1996 in Gombe, Northeast Nigeria, Abdulmalik Muhammad Auwal can most aptly be described as a photographer who discovered light in darkness. After graduating from High school in 2014, he pursued Medicine and Surgery in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 2020, when the world locked its doors and held its breath, Abdulmalik unearthed his fervor for photography. Subsequently, he has established a niche for himself in the realm of conceptual photography. For Abdulmalik, creativity and innovation are the blood and bone of his work. He brings fresh perspective to contemporary issues through images that feel simple on the surface but run deep in meaning. Superficial in texture, deep in composition. Indeed, Abdulmalik has shown that behind the scene of the dance of light and shadow, lies a music of scalpel and stethoscope.
