Ida Larsson
Photographer Ida Larsson (b. 2001) from southern Stockholm works with a self-documentary approach, exploring themes of identity, intimacy, and belonging. After studying photography at Kulturama and Gamleby Fotoskola, she now lives between Chile and Sweden, where she explores relationships and emotional states that connect her with people beyond cultural boundaries. Larsson develops her own black-and-white film in the darkroom and works with craft-based processes such as collage-making and hand-sewn artist books. Her work has been exhibited and published in magazines such as G.U.P. and Caption Magazine in Europe and South America. Alongside her own practice, she co-founded the annual outdoor exhibition Träd till Träd (Tree to Tree) on Långholmen to support fellow emerging photographers. This spring Ida releases her first photobook, Internatet, from which a selection of images is presented here.
