Jackie Abbott

Jackie Abbott (she/they) is a self-taught photographer developing her relationship to time. Her work is born from her desire to curl up inside of a moment past its expiration date--and exists as an invitation for others to join her there. The intimate and the outrageous are revered with equal tenderness, curiosity, and compassion. Her work is characterized by the evocative, playful intimacy of seeing and being seen, bringing attention to moments that often go unnoticed through creative collaboration and documentary-style storytelling. Jackie strives to cultivate an environment wherein others feel safe and empowered to exist authentically in front of the lens, allowing for moments of discovery and play.
