Bio

Jose Jimenez (Lost@Home) is a Latin American digital artist based in Berlin. Working with photography, collage and digital painting, he creates layered portraits and fractured bodies that translate emotional states into visual form. Born in Chiclayo, Peru, Jimenez traces his fascination with art back to seeing Picasso's Weeping Woman as a child on his parents' old black-and-white TV. Its strange, distorted grief stayed with him and shaped his interest in the expressive force of the image. His early practice was rooted in photography, shaped by years spent in the US and later in Berlin, where he worked across portraiture, concerts, album covers and conceptual imagery. Since 2021, digital mixed media has allowed him to move beyond documentary representation and build a visual language where photographs, painterly surfaces, memory and dream logic can merge.
