Together with The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, we invite emerging artists to submit images that offer an authentic perspective on what it means to be affected by breast cancer directly or indirectly.
Still, we do not talk about it enough, nor do we see these stories shared as often as they should be.
Together with The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, we invite emerging artists to submit photographic work that offers an authentic perspective on what it means to be affected by breast cancer, directly or indirectly. With this Open Call, we’re looking for images rooted in real life. This could mean showing both the hard times and moments of strength, care, support, recovery, and community. Whether your work is documentary or conceptual, it should feel honest and respectful.
Our goal is to raise awareness and start conversations about early detection and prevention. We also want to highlight hope and resilience.

The Estée Lauder Company’s Breast Cancer Campaign was founded in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder, who also co-created the iconic Pink Ribbon. From the very beginning, the Campaign was rooted in a simple belief: visibility matters, but what we do with that visibility matters even more.
Over the past 30+ years, the Campaign has grown into a global movement, bringing communities together around the shared goal of creating a breast cancer-free world. To date, more than USD 156 million has been allocated to research, education, and medical services, including over USD 123 million in support of pioneering research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Alongside funding, we care deeply about how breast health is talked about, making it less abstract, less clinical, and more a part of everyone’s and everyday life.
The curatorial team will include representatives from Fotografiska, The Estée Lauder Companies, and local NGO partners, including dasBuusenkollektiv, Österreichische Krebshilfe, Bröstcancerförbundet, and Look Good Feel Better.
