Nicole Giesa
Nicole Giesa is a Munich-based photographic artist whose practice began in 2020. Her work explores perception, transformation and the tension between appearance and reality, often reflecting on contemporary life and the ways we relate to one another. Moving between staged and observed photography, she creates images in which familiar situations shift, dissolve or reveal unexpected layers. Her work ranges from reflections on isolation and everyday life to questions of presence, distance and memory. Giesa’s work has been shown in a special solo exhibition at the Glyptothek Munich, in major solo exhibitions at Münchner Künstlerhaus am Lenbachplatz and Barlach Halle K Hamburg and in an eight month group exhibition with König Galerie at Bergson Kunstkraftwerk Munich. Her works are held in private collections in Europe and the United States.
