Immediacy, in street photography, can often be intimidating. A thin, transparent membrane, separating subject from object allows enough space to question the semantics and traditional roles that are often unconsciously assigned to the participants of the photographic process. Rather than subject and object, there is now actor and reactor, observed and observant. The medium transforms the street scene into a painting, a pause suspended indefinitely in time, with plenty of room for coexistence.
