Seen / Unseen Museums were built for looking. Yet standing in the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and the Petit Palais, I found myself watching not only the art, but the people watching it — or not watching it. As a musician, I know this tension: a live performance, like a great painting, cannot be captured. It can only be experienced. These photographs do not judge. They observe.
