I and many others felt robbed of that “coming of age” narrative—being thrust into adulthood under circumstances that weren’t anticipated or planned for. This portrait explores a juxtaposition of personal loss, collective upheaval, and the loss of innocence during a time that was supposed to be filled with life’s defining moments.
