This is a photo from Suburbana, a photographic project in which I document the Suburbana Cup, the biggest amateur football championship in Curitiba, Brazil, along with the small pitches spread across the city’s neighborhoods. My interest began unexpectedly after seeing fans standing on a wall during a photo walk. Since then, I have focused on photographing not only the matches, but also the people, everyday life, and the atmosphere surrounding the game.
