Homeland | A Changpa pastoralist stands among her herd of pashmina goats on the high-altitude plateau of Changthang in Ladakh. For generations, the Changpas have moved across this fragile landscape sustaining a way of life deeply connected to the rhythms of the land. Here, home is not a fixed structure but a living relationship between people, animals, mountains and the oldest living geography. Yet that relationship is increasingly threatened by climate change, shifting weather patterns and ecological uncertainty. The photograph reflects both endurance and vulnerability of communities whose identity is rooted in the environment itself.
