Signal Loss draws inspiration from real portraits, but it does not intend to remain within the realm of reality. It is a fusion of photography and visual intervention, where the image is progressively altered, as if the signal were beginning to fade. The digital textures are not random: they stem from a precise selection, developed over time, seeking out errors, interference, and visual fragments that could interact with the face. The imagery is influenced by dystopian narratives, by possible
