A Silhouette of Time is a portrait series featuring women in their eighties from the Portuguese collective A Avó Veio Trabalhar. Through a visual language that blends fashion, humour, and documentary portraiture, the project challenges ageist narratives and celebrates ageing as a space of creativity, visibility, and self-expression. By placing older women at the centre of the frame, it invites us to rethink who gets to be seen, valued, and represented.
