Entitled "Pozi", a South African vernacular term for "home," this portrait depicts Nikhale Rampersad, a model, barber, and jewellery maker, in his hometown of Chatsworth, Durban. Having left with his family a decade ago to build a life in Australia, the image reflects on his origins and sense of belonging. The work asks: What does home become when you are no longer there?
