Regina Bango fled with her children to the IDP camp in Atende, near Yei, South Sudan. Limited access to food, cramped shelter and distant healthcare shape their days. Access to water is especially difficult: the closest water points are broken, and the others are far away. Women like Regina often have to walk long distances with their children, facing safety and security risks along the way, which adds to their already heavy burden. Regina says: "We need peace. We want things to improve so that we can return back to our places. It is only the fighting that brought us here. If it was not because of fighting, you know, we would be home and cultivate."
