A photo I captured from my time in Armenia. This image is part of a broader project in which I explore my identity as an adopted immigrant from the Caucasus. The goal of the project is in exploring how I interact and relate with a culture and world I've been divorced from since I was three. The image depicts an Armenian man embracing a large waterbird of some sort. I find myself projecting my own psyche onto this image: namely a longing for connection and intimacy. Emotions that have become the core of this project in which I explore my cultural identity as an outsider looking in.
