California Flying Cars from the Future is a series of 50 photographs inspired by postwar American visions of the future. Classic Californian cars have been stripped of their wheels, creating the illusion that they hover above the ground. Blending documentary and fiction, the project becomes a visual archive of imagined futures that never came to pass, yet continue to shape our collective imagination. The only post-production intervention was the removal of the wheels.
