"Feels So Good" From the series ’Skinship’, a story about my own family ‘Skinship’ is a common term in Japan that describes skin-to-skin, heart-to-heart relationships between a mother and child, as well as among other close family members. This includes breastfeeding, cuddling, piggyback rides, bathing together, co-sleeping and even play, anything that fosters intimacy. Through loving touch, a child learns how to care for others. It is considered important for a child’s healthy development and for strengthening family bonds, making the body itself a child's first experience of home.
