During Ramâwan, Chăm Bani families in Vietnam return to ancestral graves to remember and renew their bond with the dead. The Chăm descend from the old Champa world of present-day central Vietnam, with roots going back to the first centuries CE. Here, home is ancestral ground: memory, lineage, grief and care held close to those returned to the soil.
