From the series "it is not a futuristic anomaly but a continuation of a very old human" This self-portrait is an examination of my relationship with technology through my Type 1 Diabetes. Sensors and electronic pumps are my friends, my tools. I survive because of them. They only exist because of my disability. It is a constant symbiosis. A state of codependency. As the title suggests, tools have been present since humans were able to stand upright. They grow with us. They shape us.
