This photograph is part of my long-term project about the backstage world of ballet. I am fascinated by how the aesthetics behind the curtain can be even more captivating than the performance itself. It is an honest look at the daily life, dedication, pain, and elegance that ballet carries within. I love the dark atmosphere of this image, where the viewer needs to slow down and look closer to understand the action and the story. I want my photographs to create moments of pause and observation.
