Draperies. My daughter and my mother become figures within this shifting space: one looking toward what comes next, the other carrying what has already been. Between them, I stand inside the uncertainty of looking. The title Draperies refers to the things that cover without entirely hiding. Fabric falls, folds, opens and closes. It creates a threshold between the person and the viewer, between the private and the public, between reality and its representation.
