Rather than capturing an empty monument, I waited for a quiet human moment: a parent taking a picture while children stood beneath a memorial built to preserve a nation's memory. The monument honors the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement, whose sacrifice defending Bangla inspired UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day.
