“Asase Ye Duru,” meaning “the Earth has Weight,” reflects the Akan belief that Mother Earth is a living force deserving respect and care. In Ghana, rivers, forests and landscapes hold spiritual significance, carrying ancestral wisdom and the power to heal and protect. This photographic series follows a young Ghanaian man returning to nature in search of healing and guidance, exploring our enduring connection to the Earth and the possibility of renewal when humans choose to listen to the Earth.
