Diana Muminova

I wanted to translate an instrument into the physical plane, adding hands and materiality. A baking dish shattered in the oven, and something clicked: this was the answer. Glitch became broken glass, an error, the destruction of the original image. I built sculptures from fragments and paired them with forgotten photographs from my archive, taken 13 years ago. The diptychs became glitch collages. Photography is only the beginning: an image can be destroyed, reassembled, and given new meanings.
