Diana Muminova

The series was prompted by the news of plans to develop Kok-Zhailau, a place that has become a symbol and source of pride for Almaty. Instead of caring for nature, we see an attempt to take control of something that does not belong to us. I created this project from my feelings and pain. Apples symbolize Almaty and the thousands of trees planned to be cut down. Each circle is an apple that will no longer fall from a branch, but remain only in memory.
