Simone Steenberg

Alba & Luci — two sisters. This ongoing body of work explores women’s presence through transformation, sisterhood, and emotional depth. Together we create cinematic images, in which they inhabit shifting personas — playful, melancholic, powerful, vulnerable — transmitting a spectrum of emotions that move between reality and fiction. I document not only their evolving femininity, but the subtle tension between innocence and awareness, strength and softness. Our process is intimate and collaborative, often just the three of us, allowing trust to shape the atmosphere. Through their connection, the work reflects how women hold space for one another — mirroring, shaping, and witnessing each other’s becoming. It is a celebration of complexity, interior worlds, and the quiet intensity of being seen.
