A Perfect Life” (15-part series) examines the constructed ideal of womanhood through the aesthetic language of mid-century domesticity and the emotional architecture behind the performance of "Femininity". The female protagonist exists within a meticulously staged world, immaculate, composed, but deeply fragmented and lonely when no one is looking. Through cinematic tableaux, the viewer is exposed to the stiff choreography of gender roles, and the polished facade, and is at the end drawn, along with the protagonist, into the revelation of the psychological cost of living an illusion.
