Captured during a trip in Paris, this shot frames the imposing silhoette of Les Orgues de Flandre, a powerful exampo of Brutalist and post-modern architecture. As an architect myself, I was drawn to the dark angles of the surrounding buildings, their textures concrete wall and distinctive hexagonal windows, which create a dramatic and contrasting frame for the facade in the background. I perceive this shot as a study in light, shadow but also a perspective of the Parisian "périphérie".
