I photograph shadows as much as I photograph walls. This image came together in a single moment the arc of a streetlamp falling across green shutters, the orange wall holding everything still. What struck me was not the window itself, but the shadow that didn't belong to it. An uninvited guest that made the composition complete. This is what I look for: the accidental geometry that turns an ordinary facade into something you want to stand in front of.
