Chip Broadwell
My interest in photography was sparked by my father. A hobbyist, his subject was our family. Inspired by the photo magazines of my youth, Life, National Geographic and the like, I began to focus on images that show diversity of life and the beauty of where we live. I am self-taught. My instruction the art of photography has been gained from various books and other sources written by well-established professionals. I have also received hands-on training from a working news and sports photographer. Recently, I closed a long career in television broadcasting where my creativity was put to use for commercial proposes. Now, with experience gained over the years, I have the freedom to use that creativity for art. My hope is that the viewer will find beauty or will be remind of some time or place in their life.
