Muhammed Seyyid Tako is a Syrian photojournalist from Idlib, currently based in France. For nearly a decade, he has documented war, displacement, and civilian life in northwest Syria, focusing on the long-term human impact of conflict. His work explores themes of resilience, survival, memory, and daily life among communities affected by war. Through documentary photography and visual storytelling, he focuses particularly on civilians and children living with permanent injuries, displacement, and loss. Tako’s photography has received international recognition, including Anadolu Agency’s Photo of the Year in 2020. His work has also reached finalist stages in international competitions including World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year International (POY). His photographs have been exhibited internationally and featured in projects related to humanitarian issues, war, and visual storytelling.
