Yulia Bilato

Yulia Bilato is a visual artist working with photography as a medium of perception rather than documentation. Her practice explores fragility, presence, and the boundaries between reality and irreality. Inspired by nature as well as urban and landscape environments, she engages with minimal forms, revealing them as states and transitions. Through the use of movement, layering, and soft focus, Yulia creates images in which form loses stability, dissolves, and shifts into other states. Light in her work acts as an independent element, dissolving structure and shaping a visual language that balances control and chance. Based in Italy.
