Alejandro Morales Gonzalez
Ali Capa is a Venezuelan photographer and visual artist based in Portugal. Self-taught, he has spent the past nine years building a practice rooted in beauty, vulnerability, dignity, memory, and human connection. His work moves between intimate portraiture, fine-art nude photography, landscape, analogue processes, and tactile photoworks that transfer images into materials including wood, ceramic, gold, and acrylic. His photography has been exhibited in Venezuela, including Foto Maracaibo, where he received second place, and En Foco in Cabimas. He is the creator of the photobook NINE and is currently developing The Living Archive, a long-term exploration of ambrotypes, wet-plate collodion, artist-built cameras, and photography as a singular physical object.
