Irene Ferri
Irene Ferri (1991) is an Italian artist and educator currently based in Berlin. She studied at IULM University in Milan, UCLA in Los Angeles, and UdK Berlin. A core aspect of her practice is challenging the stigma surrounding mental health and neurodivergence by bringing these experiences to the center of her visual research. Her work addresses what it means to move through the world with a constant sense of restlessness, and the ongoing search for spaces (geographical, but most of all psychological) where the nervous system can finally catch a break. Ferri has been acknowledged by Nikon Italy and Nikon Europe as one of their best young talents. She won the Audience Award at the Miami Street Photography Festival (2022), the Lenzburg Fotofestival (2024), and the Perimetro Awards (2025), and has exhibited in multiple countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, the UK and the US.
