I am a Bolivian and naturalised-Italian PhD researcher and freelance photographer. I combine my research on socio-economic issues with photographic storytelling. My passion lies in narrating compelling and thought-provoking stories that transcend the typical portrayals of social challenges. I am specialised in portraying impact stories and research, with a focus on economics and international development. I like to think that my work is a blend of Bolivian melancholy, Italian Renaissance, and Ugandan colours. As a researcher and policy advisor, I have worked with the World Bank and the United Nations, and I am currently part of the research centre J-PAL Europe, led by the 2019 Nobel Prize laureates in Economics. In these organisations, I have incorporated my photographic work as a tool to communicate impact stories and research findings. My photographs have been shown at the Collège de France, the United Nations, PhotoVogue, Fotografas LATAM, Foto Femme United, and other platforms.
