Reflected Presence. My parents in their garden while I appear as a reflection, held in my mother's hand. Realizing at 46 that I lacked a proper image of my parents (both 78), creating this long-overdue photo became a priority. The reflection is my way of being present despite distance – simultaneously the photographer and a son in one frame. Presented in black and white to echo classic portraiture, the image reflects the strength and connection of family across time and distance.
