Suburbana is a photographic project in which I document the Taça Suburbana, the biggest amateur football championship in Curitiba, along with the small pitches spread across the city’s neighborhoods. My interest began unexpectedly after seeing fans standing on a wall during a photo walk. Since then, I have focused on photographing not only the matches, but also the people, everyday life, and the atmosphere surrounding the game.
