'Meh.' With a tongue that can reach nearly 45 cm, a giraffe can easily strip leaves from thorny acacias. In Kruger National Park, these animals shape the tree canopy and act as lookouts, spotting predators long before other animals do. Their calm vigilance defines the rhythm of the savannah.
