The Nets We Call Home.jpg
Caption

In Bangladesh, fishermen spend months at sea during the fishing season, far from their families and homes. When they return, they repair their nets and collapse into sleep right there, under the open sky, surrounded by ropes and fibers that define their survival. Their “home” is not a house with walls, but the fragile space of labor, endurance, and companionship. This image reflects the contest theme Home by showing how belonging and dignity can exist even in displacement — where survival itself becomes the meaning of home.
