“Corpus Mater” An impulse precedes language. The gesture that shelters can also restrain. Protection and possession arise from the same movement. The bodies remain inseparable - not yet fully divided into self and other. In this closeness there is tenderness, but also urgency: a refusal to release, a resistance to separation. What appears as calm carries the quiet tension of something not yet ready to be let go.
