In celebration of International Women’s Day, we invite women image-makers from around the world to share their work. We’re looking for images that celebrate women’s presence, from the everyday to the extraordinary. This Open Call is co-curated by Women Photograph.
Thank you to everyone who submitted to our International Women’s Day Open Call. We were genuinely overwhelmed by the response and deeply moved by the range of work shared from all over the world.
Together, the submissions formed a powerful, multi-generational portrait of women in all their complexity. What stood out was the depth and intersectionality of the stories, moving between joy and tenderness and the harder realities of illness, loss, and sexual violence. Thank you for trusting us with your work. It was a privilege to spend time with it.
We are also grateful to have curated this Open Call together with Daniella Zalcman, founder of Women Photograph, and for the collaboration and support of their community.
As we continue to build these Open Calls together, we wanted to share a few tips we noticed during the review process, in case they’re helpful for your future submissions:
We’ll be launching more Open Calls soon and would love to see your work again.
