When night falls, other parts of ourselves begin to illuminate. We grow braver, more open, the formalities of the day become irrelevant and replaced by quiet honesty and shared understanding. This image was made during a time of gender transition for my subject, so we chose the night intentionally, as a space where vulnerability could feel safer, and truth runs freely.
