Marya Boy
Marya Boy is a Polish-born artist working with photography, performance, and mixed media. She currently lives and works between Warsaw and Barcelona. Her practice explores tensions between body and system, gesture and power, memory and visibility, encouraging critical reflection on the role of images in shaping reality. She constructs autonomous micro-worlds where the body becomes a site of resistance and meaning-making. Anchored in a questioning of social roles and structures, her visual language disrupts the gaze as a dominant form of control. Through a post-symbolic aesthetic, she composes alternative orders - affective, corporeal, speculative - testing the possibility of futures built beyond existing regimes, using art to explore what change might look like.
