Водченко Анастасія

Anastasiia Vodchenko is a Kyiv-based photographer whose practice centres on the body as the site where identity exists before language arrives to name it. Working exclusively in black and white, she reduces the frame to a minimum of means: a single figure, controlled light, empty space. This reduction is not a stylistic preference but a method. Removing context and narrative, she leaves the viewer alone with what cannot be edited — the weight of a body, the tension of a muscle, the pause between movements. Her work returns to one proposition: strength and fragility are not opposites but two states of the same material. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta in limited editions.
